I am a water professional exploring how we can leverage this unique 'element' for furthering our goals on sustainability and development.
I use my inter-disciplinary background (Engineering / Policy / Planning) and multi-domain experience (Academia / Multilateral / NGO) to contribute to real projects that bring innovations that work on the ground, at scale, and in the long-term.
Currently, I am a Scientist and Project Manager at Eawag (The Swiss Water Institute). Here, my work is predominantly looking at how to plan water security in cities and towns facing climate change, urbanisation and fiscal crisis, by using innovative technologies and social interventions.
In my voluntary capacities, I support efforts in Science-Policy Interface, Youth Empowerment and Science Communication.
I have a PhD in Planning urban water and sanitation from ETH Zürich and a Master's in Policy & Management from Oxford University and a Bachelor's in Engineering from Anna University.
My work experience includes the World Bank (Water Global Practice), the Rockefeller foundation (100 Resilient Cities Program) and collaborations with UN Habitat, UNICEF, Gates Foundation, GIZ among others.
I am originally from Chennai, India, and currently live in Zürich, Switzerland.
